My name is Mathias and I am a “down to earth” guy. I was born and raised in Germany but now do live in Sweden.
I have always loved photography and photos, especially old ones. I remember when I was a little boy and was looking with excitement on old family photos which were taking way before I was born .
It is now only 10 years ago since I have gotten my first camera, which was an Olympus compact camera. I have wanted more and so I sold it and bought a Canon Rebel XS. As it was analog camera and I to naive to believe a bigger camera automatically makes better photos I soon lost interest and put it onto the shelf. Then in late 2006 I was getting interested again.
The main reason for this was that I had started to follow photoshopusertv which both inspired me in Photoshop and photography. I then bought myself Sony’s 1st DSLR, a Sony Alpha 100. Using a digital camera made photography more interesting. The results of changing settings in the camera and using different angles could been displayed right away.
Now, about 4 years later I am still enjoying photography. I am using a different camera (Nikon D300) and bought a little more equipment which I am eager to learn using in the best possible and creatively way. Learning is fun and will keep me busy in my spare time in the future.
